People in India can now buy iPhone 8 at a much cheaper price, thanks to Reliance Jio that has been spurring offers after offers ever since the beginning.

Announcing its latest offer a few days back, Jio said that it will provide iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus buyers 70 percent of their money back—if they continue using Jio and then return back the handset in one year.

iPhone 8 Jio Offer: Understand the Calculation

So if you buy 64 GB variant of iPhone 8 at Rs 64,000—after one year, when returning your phone, you would get back Rs 44,800. Meaning, this brand new hot-piece of technology only costs you Rs 19,200 (give and take some amount due dollar-rupee conversion and taxes).

With this calculation, 64 GB variant of iPhone 8 Plus will only cost you Rs 21,900.

This same buyback offer will work even with iPhone X, which is set to launch in India in November.

It’s one-of-a-kind offer in India, with Apple desperately trying to expand in the highly competitive market, like it did in the USA, by partnering with network providers to subsidize the cost of its phones.
